Choosing a Chiropractor

How do you know how to choose the right chiropractor? Or even better yet, how do you know how to choose the right chiropractor for you? Because here’s a little secret, not all chiropractors are the same and they don’t all do the same thing. And that might not be so obvious based on what you see on their website or their social media.

So I wanted to give you a few things to look for, differences to see, and questions to consider before making that choice. The first thing to consider is your experience the first time you go in or even before you come in.

Some Things to Consider

What was the environment like?

The chiropractor’s office should be a place where you feel welcomed and heard. And when I say that, it means your Chiropractor is going to specifically ask questions about what hurts, what bothers you on a day-to-day basis, or even during an exam.

Can they provide the services that are going to help you accomplish your health goals?

What is the chiropractor’s philosophy towards your care?

Is it to always come in and get a certain thing done forever or are they able to monitor and modify as you progress through treatment?

At The Specific, we make it a policy to give our patients our personal email and our cell phone numbers to let you know that we’re here for you whenever you need.

What is the End Goal?

Another thing to consider is that as you progress through your treatment plan and begin to get better, does it change? In other words, do you continue to come in and get the same thing over and over again forever? Or is your doctor able to monitor and modify your care plan?

You see, the goal of chiropractic care is really to improve the function of your nervous system, so it’s important to be able to measure that. We measure that in our office with paraspinal thermography.

By focusing on the function and health of your nervous system, your body can begin to heal itself.
